A Little About Me
“Hi I'm Jane and welcome to Cake Infusion, my family run business”

I have had the opportunity to work  with many well known cake makers of which Paul Bradford has been my main inspiration. As a cake designer, I follow the latest trends and cake fashions and currently study with Paul. I am a member of the British Sugar Craft Guild and to keep my skills and knowledge up to date I attend local sugar craft classes.

I have a small cake studio where I prepare and decorate my cakes and you are welcome to visit me by appointment if you wish. I am fully insured, and registered with the local authority. My kitchen has been fully inspected by environmental health, being given a food hygiene rating of 5. I also hold a level 2 CIEH certificate in food safety.

I would love to create a cake for you and you can be reassured I will do my best to make this happen. With the recipes available, I feel confident that you will enjoy the flavour of my cakes. I believe that all my cakes are created with passion, designed with style and are simply irresistible! I limit the number of bookings I take to ensure that I can give every order my full attention.

Some Extra Bits

Cake prices start from £65 for birthday and celebration cakes, £350 for a 3 tier wedding cake and there's an extra cost for models and flowers.

Cake Stand & Knife Hire

I have three milk glass cake stands for hire, pale pink, black or white, and a crystal cake stand to display your cakes. Hire charge of £15.00 for your day. A £75.00 refundable deposit is required at the time of hire. For that rustic theme I have a wooden cake slice, and a wooden cake stand for hire. Cake knife and server £5 hire with £20 refundable deposit.

Portion Guides

Cake portions will vary depending upon how generous the cake cutter is. A rule of thumb is 1"x1" for fruit cake and 2"x1" for sponge cake.

Ingredients

I am a firm believer that the best quality ingredients produce the best tasting cakes. I use local, organic, and fair-trade products wherever possible. All of my cakes are hand-made to order from my home. I cater for special diets on request however I am unable to work in a nut-free environment.


All my sponge cakes are filled and covered with Chocolate Ganache and my fruit cakes are covered with Marzipan as a base. Vanilla with white chocolate & raspberry, Chocolate, Lemon, Cappuccino, Toffee, Carrot, and Fruit cake laced with brandy.

Wedding Consultations

Come join me for freshly brewed tea, coffee and cake, whilst together we can have fun sketching and designing your cake. Please feel free to bring along any ideas, photos and swatches that you may have. There is a small charge for the tasting which will be refunded when your final payment is paid on your wedding cake.
